As a community-focused law firm, Bradley Law Professional Corporation touches many aspects of life for local residents. We help small businesses establish and grow, and we are involved when people sell or purchase a home. Our lawyers also assist families with changing current relationships (divorces and custody) as well as planned future arrangements (wills and estates.) Bradley Law has three offices in the region – Pembroke, Barry’s Bay, and Deep River. We work collaboratively to provide professional and trusted legal services across Renfrew County.

We are recruiting for a Receptionist-Legal Assistant to join our firm in Deep River. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional service to the firm’s clients
  • Greeting clients, answering phones, taking messages and scheduling appointments
  • Handling general administrative duties including photocopying, filing and data retention
  • Preparing couriers and attending at the post office and bank
  • Organizing and maintaining client files
  • Transcribing and preparing legal documents under a lawyer’s supervision
  • Practicing strict confidentiality

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in an office setting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent computer, customer service and telephone skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and sensitive information
  • Demonstrated superior time management skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Driver’s license and daily access to a personal vehicle
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a legal assistant program or office assistant program is an asset
