Job Description
The Petawawa Public Library is seeking a motivated, personable self-starter, with an interest in technology and improving the lives of senior citizens in the community. The successful candidate will train and orient peer mentors to work alongside and tutor other seniors in the community on using digital technology safely and for enjoyment!
Train and orient technology peer mentors (senior volunteers).
Plan and develop training topics and guest speaks in collaboration with peer mentors.
Contact outside agencies and organizations to co-ordinate senior peer mentor training sessions at community sites.
Work within established budget to purchase refreshments etc. Make all arrangements for guest speakers needed for programs.
Collaborate with Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to promote and deliver programs.

Job Requirements
Organized, friendly, self-motivated
Skilled at digital technology usage, including use of apps, mobile devices and device troubleshooting
Experience working with seniors preferred Experience coordinating programs preferred
Experience delivering informational presentations and training / tutoring Library knowledge and/or experience an asset
Class G Drivers’ License, access to a vehicle and a clean driver’s abstract Must provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening Current First Aid and CPR-C Preferred
