Responsibilities

• Climb trees to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks safely and efficiently.
• Utilize rigging techniques and bucket trucks/lifts to manage branches and debris.
• Conduct landscape maintenance and horticultural assessments to ensure tree health.
• Drive to various job sites while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a valid driving license.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively in both English and French to enhance operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience climbing trees.
• Knowledge of ropes, knots, rigging, climbing, and tree cutting practices.
• High regard for safety.
• Passion & motivation to work with trees.
• Confident with heights & ability to work safely in both climbing & machinery such as lifts.
• Self motivated & ability to manage time effectively.
• Strong leadership skills are considered an asset.
• Professional & respectful to all team members, clients, and properties.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects safely & ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to maintain arborist equipment considered an asset.
• Interest in green initiatives.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Post secondary education preferred.
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and great driving record is preferred.

Juneau Tree Services Ltd was founded in the spring of 2024 by Patrick and Katelyn Juneau. With a shared love of the environment and a vision of environmental stewardship, the Juneau’s put their years of studies and experience to work to create the first low environmental impact arboriculture service in the Ottawa Valley!

Our mission is to provide exceptional tree care services while promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship in our community.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Additional pay:

• Bonus pay
• Overtime pay

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

• climbing: 2 years (required)
