Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare various reports and documentation
• Required to install, replace & repair underground cable lines & conduit
• Test signal levels to ensure integrity is maintained
• Complete Burials to Cogeco standards
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience is an asset but not required.
• Must have your own steel-toed safety boots
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Holds a valid G licence and comfortable driving in all types of weather conditions
• Must be able to navigate utilizing GPS, or maps
• Must be able to utilize a laptop computer to interpret utility maps
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to travel with the occasional over night stay
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in all types of weather
• Candidates are required to use gas powered saw, hammer drill, shovels & signal meters
• Candidates must be comfortable walking on all types of terrain (grass, gravel, dirt and roadways)
