Description:
Efficiency First Insulation and Contracting provides above-standard, quality services for residential and commercial building renovations as well as new build projects. We provide the necessary insulation needs by way of spray foam, blown-in fiberglass and cellulose, fiberglass batting, vapor retardants, insulation removal, and more. We pride ourselves in personal service, superior products, and exceptional customer service. We have been in operation since 2018.

 

We are currently recruiting for a Carpenter. This is a full-time, year-round position. We are looking for a skilled individual who takes pride in their workmanship, pays attention to detail, and can confidently handle a variety of residential renovation and construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform residential carpentry and renovation work
  • Complete framing, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry
  • Install and repair doors, trim, baseboards, and other interior finishes
  • Complete drywall installation and minor repairs
  • Perform demolition and preparation work for renovation projects
  • Build and install various wood structures and components
  • Read and interpret measurements, drawings, and project specifications
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Work professionally in occupied residential homes
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners, contractors, and other members of the crew
  • Complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Qualifications
  • Previous residential carpentry experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to read measurements and follow project specifications
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools
  • Experience with renovations, framing, drywall, trim, and finishing is an asset
