Description:
The mission of Bernadette McCann Services is to work for change that will end abuse, by providing safety, support and education to all those who experience abuse. Our services include an emergency residential program for women and children, community outreach, court support, services for children and youth, groups and workshops.

We are currently recruiting for a Night Caseworker. This is a full-time, contract position working 37.5 hours per week. The term of the contract is July 2025 to July 2026. This role is covering shifts from 11:30pm to 8:00am.

Reporting to the Residential Supervisor, this position provides direct service to women who experience abuse, and their children, in a residential setting. This role involves crisis intervention and client advocacy.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a post-secondary program in social sciences or a related field
  • A thorough understanding of the effects of harm and its impact on child witnesses
  • Experience in crisis intervention
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively both as a team member and independently
  • Ability to speak and write in both English and French is preferred
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is preferred
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
